CLAREMONT, Calif.- After having a successful first day of the tournament with two wins, the women's water polo team took on the second day of the Pomona Convergence Tournament playing against Mount St. Mary's and Cal State Monterey Bay. The Green and Gold won all four of their games making them 12-7 in the season.

Starting in the goal for the first game is goalie
Tatiana Cava.
Nicole Tormey turns on the jets and wins the sprint for Concordia. CUI stayed ahead of the Mountaineers and at half time the score was 4-2. The Mountaineers managed to get two more goals in the second half but could not keep up with the Golden Eagles.

Single goals came from
Allie Gaetano,
Tamsyn Evezard, Tormey, and
Jericho Callender.
Ta'iuta Uiagalelei, Ravelo and
Kim Reidel added two each for CUI. Assists came from Ravelo,Â
Allyson Corbett, and Callender on a man-up power play. Â Tormey,
Paige Henson, and
Janie Hobbs also collected one assist each. Cava collected 16 saves.

Concordia 9, Cal State Monterey Bay 7
The first quarter is close with both teams trading goals. By halftime the Golden Eagles are ahead 5-2. CUI finds the back of the net twice in the third and fourth quarter.
Madison Ravelo collects four goals while Tamsnyn Evezard grabs three. Kim Rediel gets a single. Assists come from Gaetano, Tormey, Tucker, Callender, and two from Ravelo. Cava saved 12 goals from passing her.
The next game for the women's water polo team is on Saturday March 11 at Fresno State starting at 12 pm.
