IRVINE, Calif. - In the second conference game of the season, the Golden Eagles hosted Biola University coming from La Mirada, Calif.
In a highly anticipated game against the BU Eagles, the men's soccer team was ready to compete Wednesday afternoon. At the start of the game both teams were fighting back and forth for possession of the ball with little success on the offensive side.
Defender Mikel Villareal and goal keeper
Andre Flores made it especially difficult for BU to score. In the first half goal keeper

Similar to the start of the game both teams were competing hard against each other for possession of the ball. All the way up until the 70th minute of the game it was an extremely even contest with the score still sitting at 1-0, but that was about to change quickly. With an aggressive attack at the goal, forward #12
Anthony Morales drew a foul within the penalty box resulting in a PK for the Golden Eagles. To finish what he started,
Anthony Morales scored the PK in the 72nd minute making it a tie score 1-1.
With the score tied at 1-1, it gave the Golden Eagles new opportunities to try and take the lead. As those new opportunities presented themselves, the Golden Eagles became more aggressive heading into the last minutes of the games. With that new aggression the Golden Eagles had a costly turnover which ended up in a BU goal in the 85th minute of the game making it a 2-1 score.
The men had a great competitive game despite the contest ending in a 2-1 favor for BU.
