San Bernardino, Calif, - After a back and forth battle, the Golden Eagles fell just short of the Saints from Saint Martin's on Saturday.

A few notable performances from the Golden Eagles included graduate student Camryn Kiernan, who led the way in points with 15. She was followed by fellow teammates Izzy Navarro with eight points and Ava Dominguez with seven points. Navarro also had three steals on the night as did sophomore Hannah Vela. 

The Golden Eagles were able to rack up 16 bench points and also scored 17 points off of turnovers from the Saints. The Green and Gold were sharp from the free throw line as well  shooting 78.3% (18-23). 

The CUI women's basketball team will play next on Saturday, Nov.16 at 4:00 p.m. for their home opener against Cal Poly Humboldt.
