IRVINE, Calif.- The Concordia University Irvine men's volleyball team was able to completely overtake the UC San Diego Tritons during Thursday night's match. Currently the Golden Eagles are undefeated at home, finishing Thursdays match with scores of 17-25, 13- 25, 23-25.

The green and gold were able to shut down the Tritons with a hitting percentage of .269 as a team compared to that of the visitors with -.024. Leaders for CUI, freshman
Christian Galoppo had six total kills and two aces. While
Ties Cornelissen and
Gage Doble added another nine kills for the Golden Eagles.

Defensively, the Golden Eagles were not letting the Tritons pass with an astounding 22 blocks.
Maxwell McCullough and Galoppo both added six blocks each to stop the Tritons from scoring.
Gil Herold added another four, creating trouble for the Tritons with a negative hitting percentage.

Yotam Briger dished out a total of 15 assists for CUI and
Jacob Reilly adding two more. Briger also led CUI in digs with a total of eight, Reilly close behind with four, and Doble with three.

CUI takes on The Master's University Mustangs on Saturday February 10 at 7 PM.
