FRESNO, CALIF. - Visiting up North at Fresno Pacific University the Golden Eagles men's and women's tennis teams competed against high level competition.

Starting the day out, the men's tennis team started the bar at a very high level. Each game, the Golden Eagles had a clear game plan. That game plan was to win, plain and simple. CUI Had one four straight singles matches in a row to solidify their win for the Golden Eagles.

Ultimately, CUI men's tennis team won against FPU with a final score of 4-3.

After the men competed, the women's team was up next and picked up right where they left off. Picking up three straight wins starting off in the doubles competitions, the Golden Eagles were soaring right on into the singles matches.

The first two singles matches were the spectacle competitions of the day. Sophie Rachor was the first match of the women's competitions and needed to go into a third round to finish. The Sunbirds player was fighting a good fight but eventually Sophie Rachor ended up winning in the third set 10-7. The second match of the day featured Tiffany Carrilo who ended with such a successful competition. Tiffany's match ended in the third set with a score of 11-9.

These first two matches set the stage for the rest of the team to follow suit and made a clean sweep 7-0 in a final score against the Sunbirds.
