IRVINE, Calif. - On Tuesday afternoons tennis game, the Golden Eagles hosted Principia College, home of the Panthers.
Looking to bounce back after a tough loss on Monday, CUI not only bounced back but competed in a dominant fashion. The doubles matches started and the Golden Eagles soared high as CUI's tennis teams finished on top to sweep the Panthers.
The teams included
Mattis Le Montagner and
Max Renz who finished 6-3,
Spencer Cinco and
Lemiel Tairahoy finished their game 6-0, and the third match
Mario Aleksic and
Adam Kartzinel wrapped their game up 6-2. After the games were completed, CUI gained a point, leading 1-0 heading into singles.
Getting into the singles games, the Golden Eagles were eager to see what they could do in a short time period between their last match and the current competition. Despite the quick turnaround, CUI dominated the whole entire time earning a victory after just the fourth singles match was completed.
The player who solidified the victory for the Golden Eagles was
Adam Kartzinel who won his match 6-0 and 6-3.The Golden Eagles had what it took and finished with a winning score of 6-1 against the Panthers.
