Walz Goes Yard Against Sunbirds

IRVINE, Calif. – With the rain passing by in the morning the Concordia University Irvine baseball team still got in their doubleheader on Saturday against Fresno Pacific. The Sunbirds took both games and went 3-1 on the non-conference series.

Freshman Isaiah Walz went 2-for-3 on the day while hitting his first home run to right field and ultimately being the only run for CUI. Five other Golden Eagles contributed with a hit throughout the game.

Senior Riley O'Sullivan started on the mound for the Green and Gold and went four innings striking out five while giving up six hits and two earned runs. Cameron Sims came in for 1.2 innings and threw two K's and did not give up a hit.
