PROVO, Utah – After falling the to the first match against BYU the Concordia University Irvine men's volleyball team were looking to split the series against the No. 6 ranked Cougars. BYU took control of the match and won in three sets with scores 25-16, 25-12, and 25-19.
Junior
Clement Osahon Jr. continues to impress at the net with eight kills while hitting .500 with support from other middles
Maxwell McCullough,
Wolf Beeuwsaert, and
Gil Herold combining for three kills.
Setters
Yotam Briger and
Nathan Biteau split the setter duties and dished out 10 and 13 assists respectively.
Jacob Reilly and
Johnny Anselmo were the liberos and each dug up three and were all over the court covering their hitters.
Gage Doble led CUI with nine kills and seven digs with
Makua Marumoto adding five.
Christian Galoppo and
Ties Cornelissen duo tallied a total three kills and dig throughout the match.
Chris Morikawa came into the game and was hustling to dig up five.
The Golden Eagles will be back in the CU Arena as they take on No. 6 Stanford in back-to- back nights starting Friday Apr. 5 with start times of 7 p.m.
