LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine men's volleyball team concluded MPSF conference play on Saturday against No. 2 UCLA. The Golden Eagles fought hard but ultimately the Bruins took the game in three with scores 25-14, 25-16, and 25-20.
Freshman
Ties Cornelissen led the Golden Eagles with seven kills with a block assist.
Christian Galoppo was another contributing factor as he had six kills while scooping up five digs and had an ace from the service line. Outside hitters
Makua Marumoto and
Gage Doble put down two kills each.
Middles
Clement Osahon Jr. and
Maxwell McCullough both had two kills a-piece and had a combined of three block assists.
Yotam Briger and
Nathan Biteau split duties running the offense and dished out 10 and eight assists respectively.
Jacob Reilly was in the libero spot and had three digs.
The Golden Eagles will be playing in the MPSF Tournament at USC in Los Angeles, Calif. and will take on Grand Canyon Wednesday Apr. 17 at 3:05 p.m.
