IRVINE, Calif. - Among the 123 GCC student-athletes, 16 Golden Eagles on the Concordia University Irvine women's water polo team received All-Academic honors for excelling in the water and the classroom.
CUI was one of the eight programs to be acknowledged in the Golden Coast Conference All-Academic Team. The Golden Eagles rose to the occasion and secured 16 spots for All-Academic. This is the third summer straight that at least 10 or more CUI women's water polo players have accomplished this honor.

Four returning women's water polo players were also included in last year's All-Academic Team, specifically Allyson Corbett, Tamsyn Evezard, Allie Gaetano, and Andie Perreira.
Freshman Lily Ensley, Kailah Peery, Julia Schmidt, Tess Henke, and Jaden Soto made the list in their first year with the Green and the Gold.
Looking back, Tamsyn Evezard, Andie Perreira, and Abby Mammen were also awarded honorable mentions for the GCC awards, and freshman Jaden Soto was honored to the All-Freshman team. Not to mention that the CUI tandem Tamsyn Evezard and Abby Mammen were named ACWPC All-Americans earlier this summer as well.
