IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine men's volleyball started their six home game stanza against The Master's Friday. This is only the fourth meeting between the two teams and The Master's had the edge tonight in four sets with scores 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, and 25-17.
Junior
Gage Doble led the Golden Eagles with 11 kills and had seven digs. Doble added a few impressive blocks along with a solo.
Connor Dell and
Makua Marumoto came into the game and made an immediate impact for CUI finishing the match with 10 and seven kills. Dell reached double-digit mark and tied his personal best from 2023.
Justin Dowdle played on the right side and had seven kills and three block assists.
Kasey Clouet was unstoppable out of the middle going six-for-eight with no errors and hitting .750.
John Rzepniewski contributed with five kills and three blocks.
Zach McEntire was the leader of the defense as he was libero for the Green and Gold and reached 10 digs. Setter
Makai Lipson dished out 40 assists and dig up eight.
The Golden Eagles take on Lincoln Memorial where the two will compete against each other for the first time in program history on Wednesday Feb. 5 at 7 p.m.
