Superb Seven

A School Record Seven

LA MIRADA, Calif. - The Concordia University Irvine men's soccer team delivered a historic performance on Wednesday night, defeating Biola 7–0 on the road at Al Barbour Field. The Golden Eagles' seven goals marked their highest single-game total in over a decade and set a new program record for the NCAA Division II era. The last time CUI reached such heights was in 2011, when the team netted 11 goals against Arizona Christian.

CUI wasted no time taking control, with Jonathan Moreno opening the scoring in the 13th minute off an assist from Angel Reyes. Reyes added one of his own soon after, thanks to service from Jad Othman and Domenyk Jara. The Golden Eagles continued to pile on before halftime, with goals from Jordan Toy and Kevin Sanchez to make it 4–0.

The second half saw more of the same dominance, as Miguel ArroyoDylan Graham, and Brandon Schalliol each found the back of the net. In total, 10 different players contributed either a goal or an assist, showcasing Concordia's depth and chemistry across the pitch.

Goalkeeper Sebastian Marin anchored the defense with a clean sheet and two saves as the Golden Eagles improved to 8-6-1 overall and 6-3 in PacWest play.

CUI will close out the regular season on Saturday, November 1st, when they travel to face Fresno Pacific at 7 p.m.
