NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - The Concordia University Irvine women's volleyball team added two more strong efforts in their 2025 campaign, though they ended up falling in both matches.
CUI 2, Menlo 3
In a hard-fought five-set battle, CUI came up just short against Menlo, dropping the match 25-12, 25-17, 31-33, 20-25, 7-15.
CUI's attack was led by Kayden Croy with 21 kills. Caitlin Jarrell added of her own, while Sofia Ajmal chipped in eight. On defense, Halen Kiefer and Ally Scheidle had strong nights with 17 and 12 digs, respectively. Macy Scheer led the offense with a career-high 33 assists. The team registered seven aces while earning six blocks.
CUI 0, FPU 3
In their second match of the weekend, the Golden Eagles fell in straight sets to Fresno Pacific 22-25, 16-25, 22-25.
Caitlin Jarrell led the team with 10 kills, hitting .350, while Delaney Gregg added six kills, hitting .556. Defensively, Kendyll Winn led the way with 15 kills, and Ally Scheidle was not too far behind, adding 13 of her own. Macy Scheer and Grace Carollo led the offense with 16 assists each.
