Golden Eagles Test The Lions

Los Angeles, Calif. - The Concordia Golden Eagles put up a determined fight against nationally ranked Loyola Marymount but ultimately fell 16–8 on Saturday afternoon. Despite the final scoreline, the Golden Eagles displayed strong offensive balance and defensive effort throughout the match, refusing to back down against one of the top programs in the country.

Leading the charge for Concordia was Oscar Garcia Blomback and Hugo Wouters, who each netted two goals to pace the offense. Kaliq Khan continued his consistent scoring form with another two goals of his own. Porter Rosenlof also found the back of the cage, and Luc Chapman, Kai Young, and Sam Diamond each tallied assists to help fuel the attack.

In the cage, goalkeeper Pablo de Souza anchored the defense with nine saves in 24 minutes of action, adding a steal as well. Derek Maddox came in for the fourth quarter and recorded a save of his own. Together, the pair kept the Golden Eagles competitive against an aggressive LMU offense that converted well on its extra-man opportunities.

Concordia showed strong defensive pressure with 13 defensive stops and 10 steals, demonstrating their commitment and grit against a ranked opponent.
