IRVINE, Calif. – In a standout 2025 season for Concordia University Irvine's women's volleyball program, four members of the Golden Eagles, Emma Wegleitner, Caitlin Jarrell, Delaney Gregg, and Kayden Croy, were selected to the All PacWest Second Team, a well-earned recognition of their impact on both ends of the court.
Senior Caitlin Jarrell brought experience and consistency to the middle blocker position. Appearing in every match, she recorded 202 kills, averaging 2.15 kills per set with a .328 hitting percentage, and chipped in 60 total blocks (10 solo), underlining her presence at the net. Jarrell's efficiency in critical moments was also notable as she hit over .300 in 15 matches. Her leadership, both offensively and defensively, was central to Concordia's identity this year.
Redshirt sophomore Emma Wegleitner proved to be one of CUI's most versatile contributors this season. Over 85 sets played, she amassed 214 kills, averaging 2.49 kills per set with a .147 hitting percentage. But her influence wasn't limited to just the front row: Wegleitner also contributed defensively, racking up 219 digs (first on the team) and 26 total blocks (6 solo) across the season. She also added pressure behind the service line, adding 34 aces on the season. Her all-around play helped anchor the Golden Eagles' backcourt and made her a constant threat in transition.
Sophomore Delaney Gregg continued to build on her strong reputation, delivering strong performances throughout the year. She tallied 179 kills, averaging 1.97 kills per set, with a .355 hitting percentage. More impressively, Gregg dominated at the net, recording a team-high of 75 total blocks (7 solo). Her athleticism and timing made her a go-to defender, especially in tight match-ups.
Finally, junior Kayden Croy brought explosive energy to Concordia's offense. Across the season, she notched 225 kills, with an average of 2.39 kills per set and a .232 hitting percentage. While her primary role was hitting, she also contributed defensively, logging 47 total blocks (8 solo) and 108 digs over the year. Her dual-threat ability made her a difficult match-up for opponents this season.
Having four players named to the All–PacWest Second Team is a strong testament to the depth and talent on this year's Golden Eagles squad. These four players didn't just pad the stat sheet; they helped define the team's identity.
As the Golden Eagles look ahead to future seasons, they'll lean on the foundation laid by this core. With returners like Wegleitner, Croy, and Gregg anchoring the front row, CUI appears poised to build on this momentum.
