IRVINE, Calif. –  Sophomore guard Kevin Haupt scored a career-high 16 points to lead five Concordia players in double figures in Saturday's statement victory over Cal State San Bernardino.

Haupt knocked down a personal-best four three-pointers off the bench and added three assists. Marcellus Edwards added a dozen points and made eight of his 11 free throw attempts. 

The two guards were joined by CUI starters Kaden Minter, MaCarhy Morris and Nick Corbett who each contributed 10 points apiece.

Meanwhile, Radek Homer helped set the tone defensively and finished with nine points, a game-high 10 rebounds and three steals.

"It's everybody working together, we fought as a team," said Haupt. "I felt very comfortable out there, my teammates helped me out, I helped them out and I feel like as a team it was a great win."

Next up, the Golden Eagles visit Cal State Dominguez Hills on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 6 p.m.

After the Thanksgiving holiday, CUI is back home on Saturday, Nov. 29 for a 2 p.m. matinee against Cal State East Bay. That non-conference game will be followed by the CUI women's basketball team playing at 4 p.m.
