IRVINE, Calif- Concordia Irvine delivered one of its most complete performances of the young season on Saturday, powering past Seattle Pacific 74–51 in a wire-to-wire win highlighted by balanced scoring, physical rebounding, and a statement night from the Golden Eagle bench.
CUI seized control immediately, shooting a blazing 58% in the opening quarter and never looking back. Myia Collins set the tone early, knocking down a pair of threes on her way to 12 points, while Ashari Cassell added 10 in a steady, two-way effort.
The star of the afternoon, though, came off the bench. Asia Darcuiel exploded for 22 points on an efficient 9-for-14 shooting, adding seven rebounds and giving Concordia a spark every time she touched the floor. Her energy helped push the Golden Eagles to 33 bench points, outscoring SPU's reserves with ease.
Inside, Genesis Hopkins anchored the paint with 8 points and a team-high 7 rebounds, helping CUI dominate the glass 43–33. Camryn Kiernan filled the stat sheet with 8 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals, spearheading a defensive unit that forced 16 Falcon turnovers and turned them into 14 points.
Concordia's advantage grew as the game wore on thanks to consistent execution: 50% shooting in both the second and third quarters, plus a perfect 2-for-2 at the line in the final frame as they closed out the victory. The Golden Eagles also thrived in transition, piling up 16 fast-break points and 38 points in the paint.
With the win, CUI showcased depth, poise, and balance across all four quarters—never trailing and never allowing Seattle Pacific to close the gap once the lead ballooned. It was a full-team statement as the Golden Eagles continue to build momentum early in the season.
