HILO, HI. – The CUI softball team picked up a 4-1 victory over Hawai'i Hilo in their third matchup of the weekend, finishing strong with key offensive performances from several players.

The Golden Eagles got on the board in the top of the 4th inning when Shelby Pfeiler hit a home run to right field, putting CUI up 1-0. In the 7th, Kayla Rodgers doubled down the right field line, and Kaliya Yco followed with an RBI single to left, scoring Rodgers..

Pfeiler and Rodgers both had strong outings at the plate, each going 2-for-4 and contributing to the offense. Shelli Faulk also added a solid performance, going 2-for-3 with a hit up the middle and another single to right side.Gabby Villa and Alyssa Struthers also contributed with singles, rounding out the offense.

In the circle, Kira Morris earned the win, improving her record to 3-2 on the season. Morris held Hawai'i Hilo to 1 run and kept the defense in control throughout the game.
