IRVINE, Calif. – During the recent 2025 Senior Legacy Banquet, six Concordia University Irvine student-athletes were recognized for their superior contributions during their time wearing the Green and Gold. Three staff members were also honored for their many years of service behind the scenes to help make the overall CUI student-athlete experience one-of-a-kind for all graduates.
Here are your 2025 Senior Legacy Award Winners:
Male Athlete of the Year
Dylan Fox – Men's Track and Field
- Two-time NCAA DII All-American in the Long Jump
- Finishing 10th and 11th the past 2 years in the entire nation
- Has chance to be a three-time NCAA DII All-American as he qualified for the 2025 NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships this May
- Also Qualified for Indoor National Championship in same event
- Three-time PacWest Champion in the Long Jump (2023, 2024 and 2025)
- And Set the PacWest Record in the Long Jump in back-to-back years!
- Named to multiple Academic All-PacWest Teams
Female Athlete of the Year
Jasmyn Crawford – Women's Track and Field
- First CUI women's indoor track & field athlete to be a NCAA DII First Team All-American
- Finished 5th in the nation in the Indoor Long Jump at NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships
- National Qualifier for NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Long Jump
- Holds multiple School Records including:
- Long Jump
- 60-meter dash
- 200-meter dash
- Also as a member of the "4 by 1" (4x100 meter) relay
- Academic All-PacWest selection
Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Konstantinos Koulouris – Men's Water Polo
- ACWPC First Team All-American
- (ACWPC stands for Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches)
- WWPA Conference Co-Player of the Year with 117 points
- Finished Top 3 in the conference in Points and Assists… and Top 10 in Steals and Field Blocks
- Led Concordia in Points, Assists, and Shots… and was 2nd on team with 65 Goals
- Set School Record for Most Recorded Assists in a season with 52 helpers
- (Many of the No-Look variety like Denver Nuggets All-Star Nikola Jokic)
- Also Scored 65 goals and had 35 Recorded Steals – Which both Rank Top 5 All-Time at CUI For a Single Season.
- Made both the WWPA All-Academic Team and ACWPC Academic Team
Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Olivia Ocampo – Women's Soccer
- Three-time All-PacWest Conference selection
- First Team twice and Second Team as a sophomore
- PacWest Freshman of the Year in 2021
- Finished Her Career with 16 Goals and 10 Assists as a midfielder
- Holds School Records for Most Converted Penalties (6) – and - Most Penalty Kicks Attempted (8)
- Starter for the first 3 playoff victories for the program in the D2 era… and helped CUI Women's Soccer reach NCAA DII Regional Tournament (three years in a row)
- Her Team Won 48 games in four years and 72 percent of all matches.
- Biochemistry major
- Named to the Academic All-PacWest Team every year
Male Golden Eagle Award
Connor Gleason – Men's Basketball
- Career arc is truly impressive - he went from being a walk-on during the pandemic… to being on the edge of the rotation… to role player… to spot starter… to Starter averaging nearly 10 points per contest.
- Started his last 57 college games
- Scored in double figures 22 times and shot 38 percent on 3-pointers
- Developed the "Thru It All Podcast" - interviewing teammates and other student-athletes and people on campus about various life topics, ranging from mental health, to how to persevere through injuries and rebuild your confidence.
- Former CUI Athletics student-worker for softball/baseball home games
- Served as SAAC Representative for his team
- Named to the Academic All-PacWest Team every year
Female Golden Eagle Award
Olivia Highstreet – Beach Volleyball
- Served as SAAC President for multiple years
- Member of Beach Volleyball Team that earned at least 20 wins in 4 straight seasons
- Won "The Pairs Challenge" at the AVCA National Small College Championships as a Senior
- Active member in Athlete Bible Study ("ABS") every Wednesday during the school year
- Started multiple initiatives on campus to help teams support each other throughout the school year
- Helped Beach Volleyball make the AVCA Academic Team Honor Roll each of the last 2 years
At this year's banquet, three staff members were also honored by the CUI Athletics department for their dedication and consistent support of our student-athletes.
English professor and renowned Shakespeare enthusiast
John Norton also received the distinguished "Faculty Award." He was introduced by SAAC representative and men's tennis player Spencer Cinco, who mentioned how thankful he was for Norton's support of not only the tennis teams but also helping student-athletes like him succeed in the classroom.
Sports Communicator
Ben Rosehart and the sports information staff were also recognized as the "
Staff of the Year." Along with part-time contributor Kara Vincitorio and graduate assistants
Jesse Elrod,
Alexa Garcia,
Channa Hart and
Kaia Nisby, the sports information department helps promote CUI Athletics through social media, graphic design and updating the athletics website, cuigoldeneagles.com. Rosehart and the sports information team also manage and run all CUI home sporting events, which includes about 40 student-workers every school year, as well as picture days for all 22 programs.
In addition, CUI Athletics acknowledged long-time contributor
Erik Kloster as the "Sixth Man Award" winner. This award debuted in 2023 as a special thank you to dedicated staff members at Concordia who make an impact behind the scenes. They are dedicated problem-solvers and crucial to the student-athlete experience at CUI with countless hours of work before and after all competitions. Among a wide variety of duties, Kloster primarily helps with audio/visual and tech support, as well as equipment installation and replacements all over Concordia's campus.
Congrats to the award winners and to ALL our seniors – you will be greatly missed. We are so proud of you and how you have left your legacy at Concordia.
