Match Recap: Men's Tennis | | Jesse Elrod

Slow Start, With Great Results

IRVINE, Calif. - Coming into town, the PacWest newcomer the Menlo College Oaks made their way into Golden Eagles territory to face off with the Concordia men's tennis team.

The Golden Eagles were seeking revenge after their last game, and the Oaks were the perfect team to help get them back on track. Although, the Oaks had a lot of fight in them starting out in the doubles match.

Coming into this game, CUI had only lost one doubles point on the year.  During this match, that number changed to two after the Oaks took the first point in doubles, leading 1-0 heading into singles.

CUI was trying to get back to business, and the Golden Eagles wasted no time and absolutely dominated the singles matches. The order of finish for the singles matches was 2, 3, 4, 1 , 5, 6, and the Golden Eagles swept the Oaks with great vigor. After a little hiccup in the doubles point, CUI eventually locked in and won with a score of 6-1.

The Golden Eagles next match is Saturday, April 5th, featuring the seniors for Senior Day! The match is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
