Nationally Ranked Golden Eagles Clash With The Tritons

Irvine, Calif. -  Despite a tough final scoreline, the No. 20 nationally-ranked Concordia Golden Eagles showed resilience, offensive flashes, and growth opportunities in a challenging matchup against the No. 14 UCSD Tritons.

Hugo Wouters found the back of the net early, continuing to be a reliable offensive presence for the Golden Eagles. Kaliq Khan added another tally and chipped in with an assist, showing great vision and poise under pressure. Canyon Johnson joined the scoresheet as well, making the most of his looks and adding to the team's offensive momentum late in the match.

On the defensive side, goalkeeper Pablo de Souza stood tall, turning away nine shots against some of the most potent attacks, and three of those saves being from penalty shots. De Souza's performance kept the game from getting too out of hand and kept the Golden Eagles in the game.

Oscar Blomback Garcia was also a disruptive force on the defensive end, drawing three exclusion and helping control the center.
