SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Despite a tough three-set loss to No. 6 Point Loma (19-25, 17-25, 26-28), CUI showed strong moments throughout the match and battled with heart, especially in a tightly contested third set. One bright spot for the Golden Eagles was Delaney Gregg, who turned in an efficient offensive performance. Gregg led the way with 12 kills, finding success at the net and converting her chances consistently. Her smart shot selection and steady presence were crucial in keeping the Green and Gold competitive.

Nevada Knowles also made a major impact, hitting an impressive .444 on the night. Known primarily for her setting, Knowles showcased her offensive versatility with timely attacks that caught the Sea Lions' defense off guard. Her all-around play and ability to contribute in multiple areas of the game continue to make her a key part of the Golden Eagles' lineup.

The Golden Eagles recorded several key digs and blocks during extended rallies, showing resilience and determination. Though the match didn't fall in CUI's favor, the fight they showed late is a promising sign as they continue through PacWest play.
