IRVINE, Calif. - Concordia University Irvine's two top scorers were named to the All-PacWest teams on Wednesday, one day before the Golden Eagles face off with Fresno Pacific in the first game of the entire conference tournament.
MaCarhy Morris was named First Team All-Conference and
Kaden Minter earned Second Team recognition after fantastic regular seasons.Â
Morris averaged 16.6 points per game to go with 3.5 rebounds on 47 percent shooting from the field.
Morris alsoÂ
hit the game-winning floater to help CUI beat Hawaii Pacific University with seven seconds left in regulation this past Saturday. The basket helped CUI win on Senior Night and clinch the No. 6 seed at the PacWest Conference Championships.Â
The former Lewis-Clark State star also shoots a sterling 85.4 percent from the free throw line while helping out from long range at a 37.3 percent clip.
Minter can also fill it up from deep when he gets in the zone. The Mater Dei High School alum canned 42 percent of this three-pointers this regular season and averaged 14.7 points per outing.
Minter also led the team in blocks and hauled in 4.5 rebounds per game.
CUI will play Fresno Pacific on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. PT to kick off the entire 3-day tournament. With a win, CUI would advance to face Westmont at the same time on Friday.

Concordia split the season series with FPU, with both teams winning by double digits on their respective home floors. Morris and Minter scored 24 and 21 points respectively
in CUI's home win over the Sunbirds back in December.
