Pierre's Prelude Sets Table for Bryan Clay Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. - Pierre Douat was the lone representative for Concordia University Irvine in the Bryan Clay Multis, which precedes the feature week of the Bryan Clay Invitational.

And Douat absolutely showed out to represent CUI extremely well before his peers get a chance to showcase their skills this coming week.

The freshman from France placed eighth overall in the top grouping of the men's decathlon standings and in the process also set a new Concordia school record in the event!

Douat racked up 7,153 points overall and was the top NCAA DII performer in this event group, besting Mark Burdin from Azusa Pacific who finished ninth.

He placed in the top six in three different events. He took fifth in the shot put and the pole vault while placing sixth in the long jump.  His seventh place finish in the 1500 also helped his cause in making it such a memorable day.

His Concordia teammates will take the track and field starting this week with the Bryan Clay Invitational running through Saturday, April 18.
