Two throwers were named in multiple events. One is
Trey Vergenz, who made All-Region in both the discus and shot put while sophomore
Tim Weller joined him in the discuss category.
Freshman decathlon star
Pierre Douat added that designation to his sensational first year on campus as well, while
Max Castin also joins the All-Region group in the high jump.
On the women's side,
Olivia Holmquist is the top performer in the region in the high jump as a true freshman. Joining Holmquist is junior thrower
Julia Pisenti, the second CUI Golden Eagle to be All-Region in more than one event. Pisenti received USTFCCCA honors in both the discus and javelin.
The quintet of Douat, Vergenz, Weller, Pisenti and Holmquist are heading to the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships next week in Emporia, Kansas.
