Concordia took its undefeated record on the road to Long Beach where they faced nationally ranked Long Beach State and Colorado Mesa.
In a morning match against the No. 6 ranked 49ers, the Eagles competed hard but lost 5-0. In the No. 4 flight, Madeline Deters and Cindy Tran came close, despite being swept 25-23, 21-15 to Morea Wagner and Heather Weiss.
The top flight of Amber Rose and Logan Grove fell to the undefeated duo of Nele Barber and Rachel Nieto who are now 13-0 on the season.
Following the match against Long Beach State, the Eagles looked to bounce back but ultimately lost 3-2 to Colorado Mesa.
Rose and Grove fought hard, but two points separated them and the Mavericks as they lost 25-23 and 21-19 in No. 1 match against Taylor Woods and Abby Ney.
Concordia came out with their two wins at flight No. 3 and No. 5. Hailey Gaines and Kaile Ames won in three, 15-21, 21-13, and 15-13 against MacKenzie Edwards and Hattie Gianietti at No. 3. Meanwhile, Kyra Auten and Katie Napier came up with the sweep at No. 5 against Samantha Ritter and Katie Scherr, winning with identical scores of 21-15.
The Eagles are now 8-2 on the season and return to their home court in Irvine where they host Cal Poly on March 24th at 1:00 p.m.
