IRVINE, Calif. - Riley O'Sullivan was named both the PacWest Pitcher of the Week and the NCWBA Regional Player of the Week.

He is the first Concordia pitcher to be honored this year by the NCWBA (National College Baseball Writers Association).

The junior pitcher out of San Diego had a monster outing last Thursday against CSUDH.

O'Sullivan went the distance for the Golden Eagles pitching nine innings while striking out six Toros. In the nine innings of work, O'Sullivan allowed only six hits and didn't walk anybody. More importantly, O'Sullivan didn't allow a Toro to cross home plate.

The Golden Eagles are back on the diamond this weekend as they host CSU San Marcos at 4 p.m. on Friday before playing the Cougars on the road in a Saturday doubleheader.
