Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
PUEBLO, Colo. – The Concordia University Irvine men's lacrosse team secured its first two victories as associate members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) this weekend in impressive fashion.

CUI handled Adams State with an easy 19-3 road victory on Friday.  The Golden Eagles then raced past CSU Pueblo to go 2-0 on their first road trip to Colorado and improved to 2-2 in league action.

Game 1: CUI 19, Adams State 3

Drew Buckley and Chad McFadden each scored five goals apiece to lead the offense. McFadden dished out five assists while Buckley also handed out two more passes that led to scores.

Jake Echeverria scored a hat trick for the first time in a Concordia uniform, while graduate student Nick Beeson joined him with three goals. Jeremy Barnes racked up four assists as well.

Daniel Yang played the first three periods and earned the win. He made four saves before giving way to Wyatt Groeneveld in the fourth quarter. Groeneveld also made two stops to help the Golden Eagles cruise to their first RMAC victory.

Game 2: CUI 20, CSU Pueblo 8

Groeneveld made his first career start in goal on Sunday and responded by making four saves and leading his team to victory. The Golden Eagles backed him on that side of the field and gained confidence on the attack early as well.

Chad McFadden rose to the occasion again against CSU Pueblo. He scored five goals for the second time this week to lead his squad, with Buckley keeping pace with three scores.

Matt Carresi added two goals and two assists. Nick Beeson also scored twice and added an assist for three total points.

Ed McCann IV was fantastic on helping CUI gain and keep possession with six ground balls. All-American face-off specialist Cade Poe was also 11-for-14 at the X with 10 ground balls.

Connor Kuhl connected for his first goal of the season, plus Ryan Tabor and Max Texter both scored for the second time this spring.

Bobby McCuskey scored twice to get in to the scoring column and Echeverria added two points with a goal and an assist.

The Golden Eagles will face Adams State again on the road in their next RMAC clash in early April.

CUI will enjoy its final home stand in mid-April when it welcome CSU Pueblo to town for a rematch and then holds Senior Day against Dominican.
