PROVO, UTAH – Concordia University Irvine battled hard on the road against BYU, showcasing flashes of high-level execution behind standout performances from Kai Vogel and Matt Fisher.
Vogel was a major bright spot for the Golden Eagles' offense, delivering an impressive .538 hitting percentage with no errors on 13 attempts, while consistently finishing points and providing a reliable option in key moments. His efficiency at the net helped keep CUI competitive throughout the match and demonstrated his ability to capitalize on well-run offensive sequences.
Fisher ran the offense with 28 assists, spreading the ball effectively across multiple hitters and keeping the BYU defense guessing. His control and decision-making allowed Concordia to find rhythm offensively, especially during stretches where the Golden Eagles were able to string together points.
