IRVINE, Calif. - Emotions were high at CU Arena on Saturday night, as the Concordia Men's Volleyball team hosted Cal Baptist University in its last home match of the season.
Before the match, Concordia honored six Eagles with a final farewell.

Andrew Hammer were all included in the ceremony.
With that, the two teams were ready to give fans the show they were waiting for.
The Eagles and Lancers battled it out for five sets, but the Eagles prevailed with the 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-8) win. It was the second time that Concordia came away with a five-set win against CBU, winning the first on the road in the CBU Invitational.
Ryan Anselmo had the hot hand for the Eagles tonight, as he posted a match-high 16 kills with a hitting percentage of .419. The senior also added four block assists and seven digs to make it a successful senior night.
Senior
Joseph Pillon also came up big for the Eagles, making his presence be felt in many areas. Pillon went for four service aces on the night and showed his versatility by switching to setter mid-match. He dished out three assists with eight digs, six kills and two block assists in the match.
Outside hitter
Andrew Hammer had a tough hitting night but found a way to contribute with eight digs, an assist and a service ace. Libero
Ryan Murphy was solid all night, putting up a match-high 17 digs to go along with two assists.
The match was filled with energy, highly contested points, and questionable calls but the Eagles were determined to send their seniors away with a victory.
The win propels the Eagles to a record of 16-7, while CBU falls to 3-15 on the season.
Concordia will play their last eight games of the season on the road, starting on Wednesday, March 15th against UC Santa Barbara at 7:00 PM.
