IRVINE, Calif. - The Concordia University Irvine baseball and softball teams will hold their "Code Yellow" games sponsored by The Habit Burger Grill this coming Saturday, April 27.
Saturday will also be "Senior Day" for both squads with doubleheaders starting at noon against Biola and APU respectively.
A tailgate with games, food and free giveaways will be held from 10:30 am to noon at the practice field between the two ballparks leading up to first pitch of both games. Come mingle with your fellow Eagles and enjoy hot dogs, sunflower seeds, chips, and water while playing corn hole and spike ball!
For those who are new to CUI's "Code Yellow" series, a "Code Yellow" game or event is deemed as a high priority competition, on or off campus, where you the fan can help make a difference. "Code Yellow" events will be filled with giveaways, free food, and many more surprises! This "Code Yellow" game series will have giveaways such as white SE shirts, rally towels, fanny packs, "Code Yellow" shirts, and The Habit Burger coupons.
Concordia softball is ranked No. 12 in NCAA DII and will honor its only senior - outfielder
Heather Nonora - around 11:45 am. The CUI baseball squad will honor four seniors: third baseman
Nick Grimes and pitchers
Morgan Brannock, Nick Manago and
Andrew Stout shortly before first pitch as well.
You never know when the next game-winning shot will be made, the next amazing goal will be scored or the next personal record may be reached. But now you know the Code… is Code Yellow.
