CUI enters this week 2-0 after defeating Vanguard in its first home doubleheader of the year. Last Friday, All-American pitcher
Callie Nunes continued her assault on the record books by
racking up 10 strikeouts in the season opener, before
the Eagles won the first home night game in program history.
The Eagles have also already played two exhibition games against a NCAA DI squad, as the University of San Diego hosted CUI for a doubleheader a couple weeks ago.
This Friday, the Eagles open up an important three-game series out in Las Vegas, Nev. against No. 12 Oklahoma Christian. Â This marks the first match-up of Top-15 ranked teams for the Eagles in nearly two years. These three contests will be played at Faith Lutheran High School.
Spectators are not allowed on the CUI campus during the 2021 season due to COVID-19 protocols. However, all CUI home softball games will be live streamed for free at
https://portal.stretchinternet.com/cui/ for fans, alumni and parents to follow the action throughout the season.
