WHEN and WHERE
Thursday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. PT in Bellingham, Wash. at Harrington Field.
Concordia (No. 5 seed) at Western Washington (No. 2 seed)
Western Washington is hosting the third and fourth rounds of the NCAA DII Women's Soccer Championships with the winner of this four-team pod advancing to the semifinals as one of the four final squads still alive for a NCAA DII National Championship.
FEEL THIS MOMENT
The Golden Eagles enter this stage coming off two truly historic victories in the first rounds of the playoffs. They are riding a five-game winning streak and have won eight of their last nine matches overall.
CUI defeated No. 4 seed Cal State Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 10 by a score of 1-0 thanks to a solid defensive effort by freshman goalkeeper
Riley Urquiza and the whole team. SAAC President
Analisa Gjonovich curled a shot off a corner kick into the back of the net in the first five minutes of action and it would end up being the difference.
The Golden Eagles then stunned top-seeded Hawai'i Hilo on its own field in overtime to avenge an earlier home loss to the Vulcans. First Team D2CCA All-Region and First Team All-PacWest selection
Jadenn Carrillo net the equalizer and then
Riley Walkington spun and won the game for CUI with a beauty of a goal in overtime. CUI advanced 2-1 and gained confidence as the game played out. It was the first loss at home for Hawai'i Hilo all season.
LAST TIME IT WAS A WASH
CUI gets a third straight rematch in these playoffs with the host Vikings this time the opponent. Concordia salvaged a 1-1 draw in Bellingham earlier during the non-conference portion of each team's schedules. WWU was ranked No. 10 at the time of that draw.
Layla Comeaux net CUI's goal in that match off an assist from last year's PacWest Freshman of the Year -
Olivia Ocampo.
Only two teams have scored a goal against Western Washington at Harrington Field this season - and one of those was the Golden Eagles. The other was Western Oregon.
Western Washington defeated Point Loma (No. 3 seed) last Saturday by a count of 1-0. The Vikings are also sound defensively just like the Golden Eagles. WWU has shutout 14 opponents this season.
ONE IS ACTUALLY THE MAGIC NUMBER
When Concordia holds opponents to just one goal or maintains a clean sheet, the Golden Eagles are an eye-popping 14-1-2 this season. Concordia is also a perfect 4-0 this year when facing a team for the second time. Those rematch victories include results against Point Loma and Biola, in addition to the postseason victories over Cal State LA and Hawaii Hilo last week.

REGIONAL LOVE
Concordia leading scorer
Jadenn Carrillo was named D2CCA First Team All-Region this week. Carrillo not only tallied the game-tying goal to force extra time against UHH this past Saturday, but she leads the Golden Eagles in goals, points, shots and shots on goal this season.
