IRVINE, Calif. - In what is seemingly becoming a weekly tribute to a different Concordia swimmer every Tuesday, the Golden Eagles proudly learned that freshman
Julian Hernandez has been named the new PCSCÂ Male Swimmer of the Week!
Hernandez won the 100 butterfly and was also a member of the quartet that emerged victorious in the 200 medley relay this past Saturday when the Golden Eagles hosted Redlands in a dual meet. He joined forces with
Jonathan Dose,
Jayden Hernandez and
Jack Harris and together they turned in the best time in the conference. That group of four now boasts a collective time of 1:34.75 in the pool for that race.
The Concordia men soundly defeated Redlands 189-67
backed by strong performances up and down the roster.Â
The Pacific Coast Swimming & Diving Conference (PCSC) honors the top male and female swimmers after every weekend during the season. CUI teammate
Jayden Hernandez (no relation) has won this award twice already this fall.
Rachel Maki was also named the PCSC Female Freshman of the Week earlier this October after winning the 1000 free at the Rodionoff Invitational.
