CUI Softball Will Play On Campus On Friday; Baseball Rained Out

IRVINE, Calif. - For the first time in the brief 5-year history of the CUI Kickoff Classic, Mother Nature has forced changes to the original tournament schedule.

All softball games originally scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2 have been moved from the OC Great Park to four surrounding college campuses.

Concordia, Azusa Pacific, Biola and Cal State Dominguez Hills will host the 20 visiting teams on Friday.

Concordia will host its home opener on Friday at 10:45 a.m. against San Francisco State.  The Golden Eagles will then host Western Oregon at 1 p.m.

Other netural games played at Concordia's field on Friday will feature Western Washington and San Francisco State and also nationally-ranked Colorado Christian against Sonoma State.

As of Thursday 6 p.m. all games originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday are STILL at Great Park.  If rain forces more changes, the Plan B will be to move games once again to schools in the region such as CUI, APU and Biola.

Reminder: **NO games will be played Friday at Orange County Great Park**
