T&F Wraps Multi-Meet Weekend at Bryan Clay and Beach Invitational

IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine Track and Field team wrapped up a busy week of competition on April 18th and 19th at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Beach Invitational, and the final day of the ULV Leopard Invite. The team posted strong results across the board including top finishes, personal bests and more national marks.

Bryan Clay Invitational
Claudia Vera ran 4:50.12 in the women's 1500 meter.

Parker Williams recorded an impressive double with a personal best 53.13 in the 400 meter hurdles to place eleventh and a 14.23 in the 110 meter hurdles.

Telma Kristjansson cleared 1.68 meters in the women's high jump while Jasmyn Crawford clocked 11.76 in the 100 meter dash and competed in the 200 meter.

ULV Leopard Invite
Riley Norris ran a personal best 15.02 in the women's 100 meter hurdles and Kailyn Krebs followed with a 15.35.

The women's 400 meter was packed with strong finishes including personal bests from Ruby Bishop with 55.94 Anna Tucker with 58.24 and Jaela Thornburg with 58.95.

In the 100 meter finals Nataleah Yanez ran a personal best 12.25 followed by Veronica Campbell with 12.33 and Logan Nelson with a season best 12.37.

Tyler Harvey ran a college best 11.00 in the men's 100 meter. Denilson Mendoza clocked a 50.31 in the 400 meter and Hunter Dickinson ran a 52.75 both personal bests.

Mason Mizuta placed seventh in the men's 400 meter hurdles with a time of 57.01.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Anna Tucker Zakiya Nunez Jaela Thornburg and Logan Nelson won the event with a time of 3:55.77 just shy of the stadium record.

Beach Invitational
Trey Vergenz had a standout day with a personal best throw of 16.86 meters in the shot put. Ryan Santana followed with 15.36 meters and Hunter Hornaday added 15.05 meters.

In the discus, Vergenz recorded another personal best earning second in the PacWest and a national provisional mark. Tim Weller also posted a personal best placing third in the PacWest with a national mark of his own.

Next Up
The Golden Eagles will return to competition on Thursday April 25 for the PacWest Conference Championships beginning at 9:00 AM.
