SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine Track and Field team had a standout Day 2 at the Triton Invitational on Saturday, April 5, with several impressive performances, including school records, top finishes, and a dominant relay effort. The Golden Eagles left their mark on the competition with impressive results across a range of events.

Giovana Pelascini was one of the highlights of the day, setting a new CUI school record in the women's 400m with a time of 55.08 seconds. Pelascini placed 5th in the event, marking a remarkable personal achievement and setting a new standard for future athletes at CUI.

Joshua Collier also made history, breaking a CUI school record in the men's 400m hurdles with a time of 53.12 seconds. Collier finished 4th overall, solidifying his place in CUI track and field history.

The women's 4x100m relay team had a standout performance, setting a new school record with a time of 45.89 seconds. The relay team, consisting of Jasmyn Crawford, Nataleah Yanez, Logan Nelson, and Ruby Bishop, executed smooth handoffs and raced to the top of the standings, marking another highlight in an already impressive season.

Parker Williams delivered a dominant performance in the men's 110m hurdles, winning the event with a first-place finish and a new school record of 14.13 seconds. Williams' victory highlighted his skill and determination, adding to his growing list of achievements this season.

With Day 2 of the Triton Invitational now complete, the Golden Eagles are looking ahead to their next competition. The team will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Wednesday, April 16th, starting at 9:00 AM. The Golden Eagles are ready to build on these strong performances as they continue their season and prepare for even more challenges ahead.
