IRVINE, Calif. - First Team All-Conference selection
Jake Cloutier added two more unique honors to his resume this month and is now the answer to a fun trivia question.
Cloutier became the first member of the Concordia University Irvine men's lacrosse team to be named an All-American since the program started competing at the NCAA DII level.
The long-stick defender is officially an Honorable Mention All-American by USA Lacrosse as CUI was one of the 35 programs to have representation on the list. Every year, USA Lacrosse tabs a First Team, Second Team, Third Team and Honorable Mention of the best NCAA DII men's lacrosse student-athletes in the entire nation.
Cloutier was also recognized as Honorable Mention All-Region by the USILA (United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association).

Cloutier racked up 30 ground balls and was among his team's leaders in recorded caused turnovers. He helped the Green and Gold limit opponents to nine goals or less in each of his team's final seven regular season games. CUI ultimately won its conference semifinal playoff game for the second straight year before falling to Colorado Mesa in the RMAC Division Championship Game.
The former SAAC representative was one of eight Concordia Golden Eagles to be named
Peach Belt RMAC Division First Team All-Conference.
Cloutier was also a member of the 2023 CUI men's lacrosse team that won the MCLA D1 National Championship in his final season as a club team.Â
