Flying To New Heights: CUI Track & Field Teams Rack Up New Academic Accolades

16 Golden Eagles Earned USTFCCCA Individual All-Academic Honors - The Most in the NCAA DII Era! Both Teams Also Continued Their Streaks Of Making The USTFCCCA Academic List

IRVINE, Calif. – For the first time in the NCAA DII era, the Concordia University Irvine track and field squads combined to have 16 individuals be named to USTFCCCA DII All-Academic Athletes.

Both teams also qualified as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams after collectively achieving at least a 3.0 GPA or higher during the 2024-25 school year.

The CUI men's track and field team combined for a 3.384 GPA this past academic year while the women earned a 3.379 GPA to clear that bar.

The U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored these elite Golden Eagles for leading the way.

To qualify, all student-athletes had to:
  • Hold a 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Been academically eligible at the National Championships in their respective season that their athletic mark was achieved in.
  • Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on descending order in TFFRS
