IRVINE, Calif. - In CUI's stunt competition on Wednesday evening, they had a double header to compete against University of Kentucky and Vanguard University.

Starting out the game, UK vs. CUI the first quarter, both teams had earned points for their routines and the score was 2-2. As the other quarters went on, CUI had some great sets and routines towards their scoring but the judges made their calls and the Golden Eagles had dropped their first game with a final score of 10-21.

The next game for the Golden Eagles was agaiinst Vanguard, and this was the true showdown of the triple header out of all the competitions. Each team was neck-and-neck throughout the entirety of the game. Both teams were so passionate about winning, so much so, that this game went into double overtime off of a challenge call from the Vanguard head coach that overturned a point in the fourth quarter.

Not only did the competition go into over-time, but it went into double overtime. Unfortunately for the Golden Eagles, the Lions held a slight advantage at the end of the game winning with a final score of 18-19.
