IRVINE, Calif. - The Concordia University Irvine stunt team opened the home slate, earning a dominant 27–5 victory over Fresno Pacific in the season home opener. The win marked a milestone moment for the program as it became the first victory under Head Coach Janae Magpie.
Stunt is broken down into four quarters: partner stunts, pyramids & tosses, jumps & tumbling, and a final team routine, which is a combination of the other three quarter routines. From the opening whistle, Concordia set the tone and never looked back, repeatedly outperforming the Sunbirds across all four quarters.
The Golden Eagles established control early in the partner stunts and pyramids & tosses, building momentum with clean execution and confident performances. CUI continued to widen the gap in the jumps & tumbling quarter, showcasing precision and athleticism that Fresno Pacific struggled to match.
Heading into the final team routine, the Green and the Gold maintained their dominance, delivering a composed and high-energy performance to seal the victory. Concordia's consistency across every quarter proved to be the difference, as the Golden Eagles cruised to the 27–5 final score.
The home opener win highlighted the team's depth, preparation, and competitive edge, setting a strong foundation as the season moves forward under Coach Magpie's leadership.
NEXT UP: The Green and the Gold will return to action at home on Wednesday, February 5, at 6:00 p.m. for a matchup against Trevecca Nazarene.
