IRVINE, Calif. - For the second straight year, Concordia University Irvine is sending one male and one female student-athlete to the NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships!
Dylan Fox booked a return trip to represent CUIÂ in the long jump. He finished 13th in the nation last season for the Green and Gold and was named a Second Team All-American. He enters this year's national meet tied for the 11th best mark in the event at 7.62 meters.
Fox was ranked as high as No. 3 at one point this spring in all of Division 2. He also repeated as the PacWest champion in the long jump and was First Team All-PacWest.
Distance runner extraordinaire
Jori Paradis also made the cut in the 1500m run as a graduate student. She was the PacWest champion in that event a few weeks ago and with her Top 20 time of 4:27.17, she qualifies for the chance to cap off her collegiate career in Emporia, Kansas along with Fox on the national stage.
Paradis has had a long list of achievement during her Concordia career - including being named an All-PacWest selection for cross country, when she joined teammate
Porshe Eismann as the top 2 overall finishers in the 2023 PacWest Cross Country meet.Â
The Oregon native was also named CUI Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the 2023 Senior Legacy Award Banquet. Fittingly,
Eismann literally followed in her footsteps and won the same award this year at the 2024 Senior Legacy Award Banquet
