IRVINE, Calif. - The CUI Women's Lacrosse team put up a strong fight against UC San Diego but came up just short, falling 6-8 in a competitive game.

Sophia Lindall scored one goal from 4 shots. Sofia Serrato was solid with 2 goals from 3 shots, and Alexandrie Bennett added 1 goal from her only shot. Jessi Borton contributed with 1 assist and 2 goals from 3 shots.

In goal, Darby McGregor had a standout performance, making 11 saves and keeping her team in the game throughout the match.

The Golden Eagles will look to bounce back in their next game on February 19th at UC Irvine at 7:00 PM.
