IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine Track and Field team wrapped up Day 2 of the Vince O'Boyle Invitational on Saturday, March 29, with impressive performances across several events. The Golden Eagles added more standout results, including a meet record, a school record, and numerous top finishes.
Jasmyn Crawford led the way for the women, winning the 100m with an impressive time of 11.64 seconds. She also competed in the 200m later in the day, finishing with a time of 23.91 seconds.
Tayla Crenshaw also had a standout performance in the women's discus, winning the event with a throw of 47.11 meters, which set a new meet record.
Ruby Bishop ran a strong 400m, finishing in 56.92 seconds, adding another solid result for the Golden Eagles
For the men,
Parker Williams had a remarkable day, setting a meet record in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.18 seconds. Williams then went on to win the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.63 seconds. That is just .03 seconds off the new school record in that event that was just set by his current teammate,
Joshua Collier, less than 24 hours earlier
during Friday's competition at the Mangrum Invitational hosted by Cal State San Marcos.
With Day 2 of the Vince O'Boyle Invitational now complete, the Golden Eagles are focused on their next competitions. The team will compete at the Stanford Invitational and Triton Invitational on April 4th, starting at 9:00 AM. The Golden Eagles are ready to build on these strong results as the season continues.
