Box Score
IRVINE, Calif. – Concordia improved to 11-6 in PacWest play after outlasting the Hawaii Hilo Vulcans 66-49 on Saturday night.
The Golden Eagles are now 7-2 in their last nine games and have won four straight on their home court.
Camryn Kiernan moved into the Top Five all-time in career made three-pointers by knocked down three more treys against the Vulcans. The Mater Dei High School alum passed her former teammate and current CUI assistant coach
Jasmine Rachal with her second triple of the night.
Kiernan continued her great all-around play with 15 points on the night. That's the third time this week she has scored in double figures after doing so
in Concordia's win over Menlo on Tuesday and the
narrow loss to APU on Thursday. She has also scored in double figures in 13 of her last 14 outings overall.
True freshman guard
Asia Darcuiel also scored 15 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the floor. Here and Kiernan combined for nine of Concordia's 17 assists.
Genesis Hopkins added 13 points and eight rebounds.
Kayla Cabaccang provided great leadership off the bench with seven points in 19 minutes of action and sophomores
Sophie McWatt and
Cadence Tarrant added six points and six rebounds together.
The Golden Eagles remain in sixth place in the ongoing chase for the top six spots that will clinch a berth in the upcoming PacWest Conference Tournament in March. CUI was 1.5 games ahead of Biola for that sixth spot after winning their game over UHH.

"It's been a really long week — three games in any week is tough, and navigating that with injuries and banged-up bodies becomes a bit of a chess match for us," said CUI head coach
Christine Collins-Kiernan. "We got off to a slow start offensively, but defensively I thought we hit a lot of the marks we were trying to get to. Different people are finding ways to impact the game, and that only makes us better down the stretch as our roster continues to grow with experience and opportunity."

"The energy and turnaround of this group has been a joy to watch — as a coach, as a supporter, and even for the casual fan," added Collins-Kiernan. "You can see how much fun these kids have playing with and for each other. We're grateful for this win and excited to turn it into a strong week ahead."
The next four games for Concordia will be on the road. CUI visits Westmont on Wednesday, Feb. 11 in Santa Barbara to kick off that portion of the schedule.
The Golden Eagles will play their last home game on Senior Night which will be Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. PT against Hawai'i Pacific.
