IRVINE, Calif. - A nine-game winning streak, multiple converted penalty kicks and two more shutouts at home all helped No. 12 Concordia women's soccer team be recognized as the PacWest Conference Team of the Week.
This is now the fourth time this season that CUI has been honored by the conference with this team award.
The Golden Eagles are also nationally-ranked for the third straight week and come in at No. 12 for the second Tuesday in a row in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. They remained at No. 2 in the projected regional rankings.
CUI posted clean sheets against visiting Academy of Art on Saturday and Dominican on Monday. The Golden Eagles have shutout nine straight opponents now and are one more victory away from tying the program record for consecutive wins. The nine straight shutouts have tied the school record for most in a single season set by the 2022 squad.
